Kazazlık (fabric weaving) is the art of making thread out of raw silk. While the art is called ‘‘kazazlık’’, the artisan practising it is called ‘‘kazaz’’. It used to be practised in Kazaz Bazaar, bearing its own name. Built in 1562, Kazaz Bazaar today has become a market where various weaving products are sold.
